How it works
Forward the call. We answer. You get the lead.
Calls are answered automatically in your business's name. You keep your number and get the details by email, ready to call back.
Before the first hello, we learn your business.
Our team handles the setup by hand for now. You bring the business details; we prepare the greeting and answering rules with you.
Tell us how your business works.
Share your hours, services, service area and the questions customers ask. Solo includes one FAQ or price sheet. On business plans, our team prepares your price list and documents for you.
- Business name and opening hours
- Services, prices and service area
- Answers you want callers to hear
Make the greeting yours.
Choose the words callers hear first. We use your business name and make it clear that the call is answered automatically and may be recorded. We check your details with you before you start forwarding calls.
- Your company name, not ours
- Clear answers based on your information
- A greeting you can hear in a test call
Choose when we pick up.
Keep your current number. Forward all calls or just calls that are busy, unanswered or outside your hours. Set the number and schedule for call transfers, so the right calls can still reach you.
- Your phone can ring first
- Carrier-specific forwarding instructions
- Your chosen transfer number and schedule
Calls, email alerts, call transfers and file training are live. Website chat, SMS and social messaging are coming soon.
How it works
You keep working.
We keep answering.
Keep your number. Give Wenly your business details. Get each missed caller's request, ready for your callback.
- 01
Forward your calls.
You keep your number and your phone. You forward calls to a number we give you, using a dial code from your carrier. Most owners forward only the calls they don't answer and the calls that come in while they are busy, so their phone still rings first.
Landline, cable or a business phone system? The same idea works there, through your provider's online settings. We'll find the right steps with you.
- 02
We answer in your name.
The greeting uses your company name and says the call is answered automatically and may be recorded. Then Wenly asks what your trade would ask: what's wrong, where, how urgent, and the best number to reach the caller, which it reads back.
Urgent calls, such as no heat, an active leak or a trapped car, are flagged and can transfer to your on-call number. If anyone is in danger, callers are told to call 911. Robocalls and sales calls are ended politely and never reach you as leads.
- 03
You get the lead by email in 30 seconds.
Within 30 seconds of the call ending, you get an email with the caller's name and number, the address, what's wrong and how urgent it is, plus the transcript and recording. Text alerts are coming soon, pending 10DLC approval.
On Done-for-you, Pro and Founding, a real person on our team reviews every lead. Once a week you get a jobs saved report that counts what came in, so you can see what the service caught.
What the caller hears and what you receive
Behind every answer
Built around your business. Not a script.
Calls are answered automatically, so you can stay with the customer in front of you.
Your knowledge. Not guesswork.
Your hours, services and FAQs guide the answers. If a detail is missing, your team confirms it.
A conversation, not a phone menu.
Wenly answers automatically, asks what the caller needs and captures the details for your callback.
Automatic answering. Human review.
On Done-for-you, Pro and Founding, a real person on our team reviews every lead. Callers are told the answering is automated.
On the call
What the caller hears, and what you get
This is an example for an HVAC company. Every trade has its own questions and rules.
Wenly
“Thanks for calling Northside Heating and Air. This call is answered automatically and may be recorded. How can we help with your heating or cooling today?”
Caller
“Our furnace stopped working and it's freezing. We have a newborn at home.”
Wenly
“I'm sorry, that's stressful. I'll get this to the on-call technician right now. What's the address, including ZIP?”
Caller
“418 Alder Street, 78704.”
Wenly
“Got it. Is the number you're calling from the best one to reach you?”
A fictional business and caller. The wording is tuned to each company.

The small print
What Wenly won't do
Knowing the limits is part of trusting it.
- It is not a person. The call is answered automatically, and it says so.
- It is not 911. When anyone is in danger, callers are told to call 911.
- It never makes up prices, availability or arrival times. It only uses facts you give it.
- It doesn't dispatch anyone. It gets the lead to you, or transfers an urgent call to your on-call number.
- It never takes card or payment details.
Setup questions
How long does setup take?
We'll set you up within 1 business hour of your signup. You then turn on forwarding, which takes a minute, and make one test call.
What do I have to do?
Tell us about your business in the signup form, forward your calls using the steps we send for your carrier, and call your business number from another phone to test it.
What do callers hear?
Your company's name, a short line saying the call is answered automatically and may be recorded, and then the questions your trade would ask: what's wrong, where, and how urgent. You can hear an example on the demo line.
Can I turn it off?
Yes. One dial code from your carrier turns forwarding off, and your number and phone were never changed. The forwarding guide lists the code for each carrier.
Who can see the recordings and transcripts?
You do, and the people on our team who check leads. The security page explains what we keep and who can see it, in plain language.
Hear it answer. Then start free.
On business plans: If we don't catch at least 10 leads you'd have missed in your first 30 days, you don't pay.
