Use case: Appointment requests
Turn a call into a booking request.
Callers want to book, not leave a message. Wenly takes the request (who, what and when), and on Starter and above it can book into your calendar. It never says a visit is booked unless the booking is confirmed.
A message isn't an appointment
When a caller leaves a voicemail asking for a visit, the appointment isn't made until you call back, find a time, and hope they pick up. Each round of phone tag is a chance to lose them.
An answering service that only takes messages moves the work somewhere else. One that captures the preferred time, the address and the reason means your callback is a confirmation, not a conversation from scratch.
How it works
What happens, step by step
Wenly asks for the details
What they need, where, and which days and times suit them.
On Starter and above, it checks your calendar
It can offer real open slots from Google Calendar or Calendly and book one when the caller agrees.
On every plan, it takes a request
It records the preferred time and tells the caller your team will confirm. Nothing is called booked until it is.
You confirm in one short call
Your email has everything, so the callback is a confirmation, not a fresh conversation.
What you receive
- The caller's name, number, address and reason for the visit
- Their preferred days and times, or the slot that was booked
- A clear note on whether anything was actually booked
Starter plan. Calendar booking is on Starter, Done-for-you, Pro and Founding. Appointment requests are on every plan.
What it does and doesn't do
- Wenly never says a job is booked unless the booking tool confirms it.
- Calendar booking uses your calendar, not your field-service or practice software. Integrations with tools like ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, Dentrix and Open Dental are not live yet.
- It won't offer times you haven't shared with it.
Common questions
What's the difference between booking and a request?
A booking goes into your calendar with a real time. A request records the caller's preferred time and your team confirms it. Solo takes requests. Starter and above add calendar booking.
Which calendars work?
Google Calendar and Calendly.
Can it change or cancel an appointment?
It takes the request and passes it to you. It doesn't change an existing booking on its own.
Does it work for dental offices?
For dental, Wenly takes appointment requests. It can't see your practice software's schedule yet, so your team confirms. The dental page explains the details, including why we make no HIPAA claims.
