Wenly (“we”, “us”) provides a call answering service for small businesses. This policy covers this website and the service. Questions: hello@wenly.example.

What we collect

From visitors to this website

Pages visited, clicks on key buttons, device and browser type, and approximate location. We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is designed to count visits without cookies that follow you around the web.

From the forms you submit

  • Demo call request: business name, trade, first name and mobile number, plus a record of your consent: the time, your IP address and the exact wording you agreed to (“I agree to receive an automated call from Wenly at this number to demo the service. Message/data rates may apply.”).
  • Free trial signup: business name, trade, service area, hours, average job value, your name, email, mobile number, business phone number and carrier, and whether you agreed to text alerts and to our terms, with the time and IP address.
  • Contact and partner forms: name, email, message and, for partners, company and website.

From people who call a Wenly customer

The caller's phone number, a recording and transcript of the call, and what they tell us, such as a name, an address and the reason for the call. Calls are answered automatically and may be recorded. In this case we process the information for the business that was called, which decides how it is used. If you called a business and want your call data deleted, contact that business or us.

How we use it

  • To answer calls, capture leads and send them to our customers, and to send weekly reports.
  • To let a real person on our team review every lead on Done-for-you, Pro and Founding.
  • To place a demo call you asked for, and to show that you agreed to it.
  • To set up accounts, send service messages and respond to enquiries.
  • To keep the service and this site secure and to prevent abuse.
  • To improve the service, and to meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

  • The business a caller called, which receives its own calls, leads, recordings and transcripts.
  • Service providers that supply voice and telephony, hosting, database, email, text messaging and analytics, only so the service can work.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
  • A buyer, if Wenly is ever sold or merged, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share mobile phone numbers or text-message opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

Call recordings and transcripts are kept while a customer's account is active, and deleted on request or after the account is closed. Consent records for demo calls are kept as long as needed to show that someone agreed. Other information is kept as long as it is needed for the purposes above.

Your choices and rights

  • You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS terms.
  • You can decline a demo call by not ticking the consent box.
  • Depending on where you live, such as California and other states with privacy laws, you may have further rights to know, delete and correct information, and to opt out of some uses. We honor those requests. Write to hello@wenly.example and we'll verify who you are before acting.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, described in plain language on our security page. No system is perfectly secure.

Children

The service is for businesses. It isn't directed at children under 13.

Where information is processed

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and in other countries where our team or providers operate.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for customers, tell you.
