Missed-call text back
Missed-call text back is an automatic text message sent to a caller after their call went unanswered.
Missed-call text back explained
How it works
Your phone system notices a missed call and sends the caller a short text, such as “Sorry we missed you. How can we help?”, often with a link to book or reply.
When it helps
It gives you a second chance with callers who didn't leave a voicemail, and it works best when the text arrives within a minute or two and the caller replies.
Its limits
The caller has already tried once and may have called the next business. A canned text can't ask what's wrong or where. And because it is a text from a business number, US carriers expect the business to be registered (see 10DLC), and texting rules apply.
